District 18, my lifelong home, is a wonderful place to live, grow up and work.

It has everything anyone could ask for: parks, theaters, movies, libraries, great restaurants, excellent schools, and terrific neighborhoods. It reaches from Chevy Chase on the DC line to North Chevy Chase, to Kensington to Garrett Park and Wheaton, with parts of Silver Spring and Bethesda as well.

It is a wonderfully diverse community with approximately 127,800 individuals comprised of approximately: 35,300 Latinos, 55,000 Caucasians, 17,600 African-Americans, 12,900 Asian Americans and a little over 1,000 other individuals from various walks of life.

I am proud to be representing all of these fabulous neighborhoods and the incredibly strong, vibrant and diverse communities in our District.
