Gun Safety

With the onslaught of mass shootings and gun violence, it is important that Maryland remain in the vanguard of sensible gun control laws, gun safety and education programs.

I am deeply disappointed in the recent United States Supreme Courts Bruen decision which I believe will eviscerate many of the existing laws and make us less safe as a society. The Republican-appointed judges on the courts continue attacking, limiting and overturning even sensible and limited gun safety and gun control measures. As a result, the legislature has to be especially vigilant in crafting laws that will protect our community and withstand legal challenges.
