In the last decade, we have seen great advances in the rights of the LGBTQ community but we still have biases and prejudices to overcome.

LGBTQ community protections need to be enacted and enforced. I was an early and strong supporter of marriage equality. With the Supreme Court configuration and recent rulings, we need to be vigilant on a state and local level not to allow any of the hard-won gains in equity to be lost. I will be an ally to the Transgender community in the face of mean-spirited baseless attacks.  I will be a staunch supporter of protecting the LGBTQ community as a Delegate.
