Childcare

Maryland parents spend far too much money on childcare. It is a drag on the economy keeping so many talented parents from the workforce because they cannot afford the current level of childcare costs.

It causes strain on the family, not only economic but emotional as well. I commend my colleague and friend, Delegate Jared Solomon, for the passage of his bill related to childcare scholarships but that is just the first step in lowering the cost of childcare. Finding a solution to this problem will be a top priority for me in the House of Delegates.
